UCS staff earn CompTIA Security+ training and certification

A number of UCS staff recently earned their CompTIA Security+ certification, demonstrating competency in the following areas: network security; compliance and operational security; threats and vulnerabilities; application, data, and host security; access control and management; and, cryptography. Consistent with the company’s ongoing training initiatives, UCS developed a training experience to help the staff prepare for the exam, in addition to covering the cost of taking the exam.

CompTIA Security+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that demonstrates to our potential customers that our staff is well qualified to meet their needs. The CompTIA Security+ certificate also meets part of DoD Directive 8570.01-M “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management” for technical positions conducting information assurance (IA) functions. Our customers understand the value that certification represents as their organization adheres to DoD 8570.01-M, and we have been proactive in training our workforce to meet our customers’ current and upcoming IA requirements.
