UCS wins DIACAP contract with Philips Medical

As our reliance on a vast, interconnected, global information infrastructure escalates, the need for an equally sophisticated security paradigm inescapably increases. In order to use and secure its information systems, the DoD and Veterans Administration (VA) continue to develop complex Information Assurance (IA) processes, requirements, and certifications that ensure the integrity, accessibility, and security of mission-critical information. While UCS currently provides several DoD agencies with operational and enterprise-level IA and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) support, UCS recently expanded its IA and DoD IA Certification (DIACAP) consultation services to the commercial world.

UCS is pleased to announce the continuation of our partnership with Philips Medical Systems North America, a commercial IT and medical device corporation. For the next two years UCS will assist Philips Medical with their DIACAP accreditation for their picture archiving and communication (PACS) system, a medical imaging technology which provides cost-effective and accessible image storage. The accreditation will allow Philips Medical to continue offering their PACS products to the VA and DoD.
